I am a reporter, vertical video editor, copy editor and producer with experience in radio and print journalism. I was the 2025-26 Joan Cirillo Emerging Journalist Fellow at Oregon Public Broadcasting and the senior reporter, copy editor and opinions editor at The Beacon. I studied English at the University of Portland, where I was an English writing and Spanish language tutor. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Portland in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in English. Truth be told, I prefer the Oxford comma - but you won't hear me saying that in a newsroom.
